Come and take classes in a working pottery studio from master potter, John Fulwood.

You will learn all aspects of pottery making and fire to cone ten in a gas fired reduction kiln.

Beginners always welcome, ages 16 and up.

Fall Workshop
A special workshop with master potter, Steven Hill, Nov 14 - 16, 2008

In this two-day workshop, Steven Hill will throw and alter pots and work with slip, all the while communicating his enthusiasm for functional stoneware and single firing. Steven considers form the most important single aspect of his pottery, paying particular attention to rims, feet, lids, spouts, and handles. Discussions will cover philosophy, design, technique, and the business of making a living in clay.

Schedule:

Friday evening, November 14, 6pm to 9pm	Slide lecture and reception open to the public
Saturday, November 15, 9am to 5pm	Throwing and altering, discussions ranging from aesthetics to philosophy to technical issues to business practices.
Sunday, November 16, 9am to 5pm	Trimming and assembly of pots, single-fire lecture, glazing demo.

Workshop Fee: $185 per person

TUITION

$375.00 for an eight-week class.
$285.00 for 6 weeks.

Includes 25 pounds of clay, glazes and all firing.

Kissimmee River pottery offers cone 10 reduction firing. We are one of two studios in the area to offer high fire stoneware classes. The classes are limited to 6 students.

We also have a limited number of private studio spaces available for rent on a monthly basis. These spaces come with access to the kilns and studio equipment. You provide your own wheel and build your space to meet your needs.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel a class, every effort will be made to fill your space. If the space is filled, I will return your class fee less $30 for administrative costs. No refunds will be made for cancellations less than two weeks before a class begins. If you miss a class, it can usually be made up during another scheduled class. Missed classes cannot be made up after the 8 week class ends.
